Hyderabad: A 57-year-old veterinary doctor who doubled up as a realtor was brutally killed, allegedly by his third wife, son, and his friend in Bandlaguda.
The victim was identified as Masiuddin. The accused have been identified as Shabana, his third wife, her son Sameer, and his friend Fareed.
Chandrayanagutta ACP K. Manoj Kumar said Masiuddin, a resident of Banjara Hills, had married Shabana a few years ago. Shabana, who already had a son, Sameer, from a previous relationship, was Masiuddin’s third wife. The couple had been living separately. Shabana was living in a rented apartment in Bandlaguda’s Crystal Township. Masiuddin reportedly used to visit her daily.
Tensions escalated on Monday when a heated argument between Masiuddin and Shabana broke out. The following morning, Masiuddin returned to the apartment, unaware of the deadly plan that awaited him. Shabana, along with her son Sameer and his friend Fareed, allegedly executed a chilling plot.
They tied Masiuddin’s hands behind his back with a chunni (dupatta), bound his legs, and gagged him with a cloth. In a gruesome act, the trio slit his throat with a knife, leading to his immediate death.
Later that night, Shabana surrendered at the Bandlaguda police station and confessed to the murder. During preliminary investigations, police uncovered Shabana’s suspected extra-marital affair, which is believed to be a possible motive behind the crime.
