The all-new Tata Sierra SUV is all set to hit Indian roads in late 2025. It will surely be interesting to watch how it will challenge the dominance of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos in the midsize SUV segment. However, the Sierra is expected to have a strong position with its multiple powertrain options, advanced tech and modern design language. Furthermore, the Sierra nameplate has a nostalgic value attached to it, especially among 90s people, despite its failure in that era.
New Tata Sierra Design Explained
The SUV will attract buyers with its new-age styling, commanding body built and OG elements such as the squared-out wheel arch cladding, a raised bonnet and the signature curved-over rear windows. The Sierra ICE version has gloss-black finish on the upper section of the grille and body-coloured finish on the bumper. Interestingly, its electric iteration has the opposite treatment. The SUV features a full-width LED light bar headlining the front fascia and a pronounced faux silver skid plate on the chin.

The new Sierra ICE and EV will have differently designed alloy wheels. It has a floating rear spoiler, flush door handles, a unique kink in the B-pillar, massive gloss-black cladding, an upright rear section and a sharply raked windscreen. The rear profile will further be enhanced by a dual-tone bumper with a faux silver skid plate, a slab-sided tailgate and a full-width light bar.

New Tata Sierra Interior Explained
Tata hasn’t yet released images of its production-ready interior. The Sierra EV concept, which debuted in 2023, featured two separate screens for the infotainment and instrument functionalities. The SUV’s close-to-production version (ICE), showcased this year, has a floating triple screen setup, a four-spoke steering wheel and functional AC vents.
Official details of the Sierra ICE and EV are yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to come with a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS tech, a 360 degree camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, an auto dimming IRVM, ventilated seats and many more goodies.
New Tata Sierra Interior Explained
This new Tata SUV will be available with three powertrains – petrol, diesel and electric. The Sierra EV might come with multiple battery pack options, delivering an estimated range of over 500km in its higher-spec version. The SUV’s electric version might be offered with the optional 4X4 drivetrain system. The petrol and diesel models could be packed with the 1.5L turbo and 2.0L engines, respectively. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
