Hyderabad: Eleven members of a gang were arrested by Rajendranagar police on Friday for allegedly grabbing land worth 4 crore in Bandlaguda Jagir. Police said that the accused are Nagesh, J Emanuel, Diwakar, Subhashini, P. Kumari, Chandramohan, Anil, Roshan, Alex, Shivraj and Shreya.
The accused were arrested based on a complaint given by one Vanita Chowdary, a resident of Chennai, who had bought the 600 sq yard plot in Padmasri Hills in Bandlaguda from one Sanjeeva Reddy in 2005. The accused, Nagesh, is known to the complainant.
“The accused Nagesh and Emmanual are real estate brokers. On knowing that the complainant has not been visiting the plot, they conspired to sell the property. Joining hands with other accused, they created fake documents and got the property registered at district registrar office, Moosapet, in the name of Diwakar. Subsequently, Diwakar executed a sale deed in the name of Subashini for 63 lakh who in turn sold the property to a construction firm for 4.26 crore,” Cyberabad police said. TNN
