NEET UG 2025: Application ends today; correction window to open on March 9 | Education News

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) on March 7. The NEET UG application started on February 7. The official website to register for NEET UG is neet.nta.nic.in.

NTA has been sending reminders to fill the NEET UG application form before the deadline. NTA will open the application correction window on March 9. The window for NEET UG 2025 application correction will be available till March 11 up to 11.50 pm.

An NTA statement issued while sharing a reminder to fill NEET UG application form said: “The registration process for NEET UG 2025 commenced on February 7, 2025, and will close on March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid any last-minute difficulties.”

“Final corrections will be applicable only after payment of any additional fees, if required. In cases where changes affect the fee amount, candidates will be charged any excess fee accordingly. Please note that any excess payments made will not be refunded,” another notice released on March 6 announcing the application correction dates said.

NEET UG is the sole exam in India to shortlist candidates for UG medical and allied courses. For the last two years, over 20 lakh students have been registering for the exam. In 2024, as many as 24,06,079 candidates registered for NEET UG, while in 2023, it was 20,87,462. In 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019, the number of registered candidates in NEET UG is 18,72,343, 16,14,777, 15,97,435 and 15,19,375, respectively. NEET UG 2025 will be held on May 4.

NTA has also set up helpdesks for further clarification related to NEET UG 2025. The candidates can contact the helpdesk in person or at 011-40759000/011-69227700 or email at neetug2025@nta.ac.in.

While filling up the NEET AND 2025 ONLINE APPLICATION FORMcandidates will have to select three cities as their choice of cities for the exam centre in order of their priority. Choice of centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or state of present address only. For convenience, the candidates may select their own city or neighbouring cities in their state of residence only and not for far away cities in other states.
