
After the massive success of Jailer, director Nelson is now fully focused on its sequel, Jailer 2, with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead.
Rajini has given the green signal for the project, and Nelson has been working on the script without any distractions. The script is now finalized, and pre-production work has also been completed.

According to reports, Rajinikanth has allotted his dates for the film, and the first schedule is set to begin in Chennai next week. The shoot will reportedly start with an action sequence, followed by schedules in Goa, Theni, and other locations.
Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar, who played key roles in the first film, are expected to return for Jailer 2. Additionally, the makers are planning to bring in more big stars to expand the film’s scale.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is one among them. Nelson couldn’t crack a role for him in the first part, but reports suggest that he has written a solid role this time. Though nothing is officially confirmed.
With Jailer grossing over ₹600 crore worldwide, expectations for Jailer 2 are soaring, with projections in the ₹800-1000 crore range.

However, the film’s shoot has seen slight delays due to Rajinikanth’s ongoing work on Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is also being projected as Tamil cinema’s first ₹1000 crore film.
If Coolie and Jailer 2 both hit the 1000 crore mark, Rajinikanth will join the elite club of SRK and Prabhas, who have delivered multiple 1000-crore blockbusters.
