Hyderabad came alive with celebrations on Sunday night as India secured a thrilling victory over New Zealand to win the Champions Trophy 2025. As the final match concluded in a nail-biting finish, residents across Hyderabad poured on to the streets, setting off fireworks to mark the momentous occasion.
The electrifying atmosphere was evident in several localities, where fans gathered in restaurants and bars that had set up live screenings of the match. Many residential communities also joined in the excitement, organising special screenings with projectors in apartment complexes.
Areas such as Tank Bund, Begumpet, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Madhapur, Secunderabad and Tarnaka witnessed dazzling displays of fireworks, with the night sky lighting up in celebration of India’s triumph. Enthusiastic fans cheered, waved the national flag, and revelled in the victory.
