Hyderabad: BRS on Sunday finalised Dasoju Sravan as the MLC candidate in MLA quota. Dasoju Sravan will file his nomination papers on Monday.
Incidentally, Dasoju Sravan was nominated in the governor quota during the previous BRS tenure, but it ran into legal trouble after then governor Tamilisai Soundararajan objected to the nomination sent by the state govt, saying that he was not fit for the quota as certain conditions have to be met under the governor quota.
Dasoju was originally with BRS after which he switched over to Congress and then BJP and finally got back to BRS. Known as a strong votary of separate Telangana, he was in the race for the candidature along with RS Praveen Kumar and Satyavathi Rathod. Sources said he was picked in the BC quota.tnn
