While the delay of Hari Hara Veeramallu’s release to March 28 has been causing tension among fans, another concern is the ongoing delay in the completion of the OG shoot. The shooting for Veeramallu recently resumed with director Jyothi Krishna filming the scenes without Pawan Kalyan. It’s been reported that a few more days of patchwork with Pawan Kalyan’s dates could complete the film. If everything goes as planned, the film could release in the last week of April or the first week of May. Any further delay might push the release to July.
If Veeramallu is released, the progress of OG will be held back. However, it’s not possible to shoot both films simultaneously because Pawan Kalyan’s hairstyle differs between the two. Hence, Veeramallu must be completed first before work on OG resumes. In a surprising twist, it has been reported that OG has a deal with Netflix for a theatrical release this year. The rights for the film were reportedly sold after agreeing on a rate. If the film is delayed to 2026, the producer risks a reduction in the agreed amount. Therefore, the team is aiming for a release by Christmas if they miss out on Dussehra or Diwali.
With both films being interconnected, there is inevitable tension and speculation. Meanwhile, there isn’t as much pressure on Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Director Harish Shankar has already met with Ram Pothineni and Balakrishna to finalize a film project. If Pawan Kalyan calls upon him, he’s ready to jump in. However, until the confusion surrounding Veeramallu and OG is cleared, Bhagat Singh’s progress will remain stalled. According to insiders, Pawan Kalyan is expected to make a clear decision on which projects to allocate dates to within this month.
