Ten passengers travelling from Visakhapatnam to Guntur suffered injuries when the private travels bus in which they were travelling overturned on the national Highway on the outskirts of Eluru in the early hours on Monday (March 10, 2025).
“The injured were admitted to the nearby hospital and their conditions are stable,” said Eluru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) D. Sravan Kumar.
The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control in a bid to overtake another vehicle.
The DSP said that 47 passengers were travelling in the bus when the mishap occurred.
This was the second road accident that occurred on Eluru outskirts in the last five days.
Four persons died and 21 suffered injuries when a private travels bus, proceeding from Hyderabad to Kakinada, hit a lorry at Chodimalla bridge on March 6, on the National Highway.
