Kia has ambitious plans for the Indian market, including expanding its electric product portfolio, ramping up production and widening its sales network. Furthermore, the South Korean automaker will update its existing model lineup, with introduction of the EV6 facelift, Carens facelift and second-generation Seltos by the end of this year. The 2025 Kia EV6 facelift was showcased at this year’s Bharat Mobility show, and it’s set to go on sale in the next couple of months.
The 2025 Kia Carens facelift and the all-new Seltos are currently undergoing extensive testing, and have been spotted multiple times. The spy images reveal some interesting details about these new models. Let’s take a closer look.
2025 Kia Carens Facelift

The updated Carens will come with slightly improved styling, while the major upgrades will be made inside the cabin. This compact MPV will receive the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite and a 360 degree camera. Rumour suggest that the 2025 Kia Carens facelift might borrow a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic display from the Syros. This unit includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 5-inch digital climate control display. Features such as ventilated second row seats, new seat upholstery and materials are also expected.
When it comes to design, the new kia carens will feature EV5-inspired triangular-shaped headlamps, new LED lighting elements and a revised front bumper. The newly-designed alloy wheels could be the only change made to its side profile. The rear section will sport a slightly revised bumper and vertically positioned LED taillamps connected via an LED light bar.
No mechanical changes are expected. The 2025 Kia Carens facelift will continue to be offered with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.5L turbo petrol (160PS/253Nm) and 1.5L diesel (116PS/250Nm) engine options. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup, while a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed automatic transmission will be reserved for the turbo petrol and diesel variants, respectively.

2025 kia seltos

The second-generation Kia Seltos is likely to be offered with a new petrol hybrid powertrain. The carmaker might use a 1.6L petrol engine paired to a rear-axle mounted electric motor. If this happens, the Kia Seltos will be the brand’s first hybrid offering in India. The existing engine setup will also be carried forward to the next-generation model, including a 1.5L MPi petrol (115PS/144Nm), a 1.5L turbo petrol (160PS/253Nm) and a 1.5L diesel (116PS/250Nm).
The design and styling of the 2025 kia seltos will take inspiration from the globally sold Kia Telluride. The SUV is likely to feature a newly-designed front grille and bumper, new LED headlamps with LED DRLs, revised taillamps with triangular-shaped elements, new alloy wheels and updated wheel arches.
In terms of features, the new Kia Seltos is expected to receive a multi-layered dashboard, a new two-spoke steering wheel, revised door trims and headrest, ambient lighting system and new dual-tone seat upholstery.
