Hyderabad: Three days after the Telangana govt took up the reshuffle of IPS officers, additional director general of police rank officer, Anil Kumar, took charge as additional DGP (Personnel) on Monday in the Telangana police headquarters.
Earlier, he was the head of the Special Protection Force (SPF), a specialised unit that provides protection to sensitive installations, including the Secretariat and assembly.
During the BRS tenure, Anil Kumar was Telangana State’s intelligence chief. Apart from him, most of the superintendent of police rank officers who were transferred took charge as unit heads in different rural districts.
