Hyderabad: National priorities and perspectives will take precedence to build a strong university, Prof N Naga Raju said upon assuming office as the Vice Chancellor of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) here on Monday. Vice Chancellor (I/C) Prof Haribandi Lakshmi handed over the charge to Prof Naga Raju.
Prof Naga Raju brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as Vice-Chancellor of Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, Odisha for four years, as Professor of English at Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga, and Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Arunachal Pradesh, the EFLU said.
Additionally, he worked as an academic adviser at Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, and as a visiting faculty at Sri Satya Sai University, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.
Hailing from Chatrapur in Gajapati district of South Odisha, Prof Naga Raju is a distinguished teacher and researcher in English literature. With over 37 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, he has gained recognition in India.
