But, the fans want her to bounce back with a film soon. As per the industry sources, director Nandini Reddy plans to collaborate with Samantha for the third time.
When Nandini and Samantha teamed up last time for Oh Baby, it has become a big hit. Although their first collaboration Jabardasth did not work, Oh Baby brought the much-needed recognition. Now, Nandini Reddy has officially confirmed that she will be teaming up with Samantha once again.
Speaking at the IIFA ceremony on the topic of ‘Women in Cinema,’ Nandini not only confirmed their new film but also shared an update on Maa Inti Bangaram, a project announced by Samantha’s production house. Nandini revealed that its shooting is now underway. She praised Samantha for ensuring equal pay for all crew members, irrespective of gender.
When it comes to the film announced by Nandini, we have to see if she comes up with a straight film. Both Jabardasth and Oh Baby are remakes. In the current times, unless there is a solid story in hand, it is highly impossible to score a hit with a female star headlining it. Moreover, Samantha’s recent track record is also worrisome.
On the other hand, there are speculations in the media that Samantha is dating director Raj Nidimoru. However, the actress has been silent over the same.
