Nani is known for balancing quality and variety while consistently delivering films in Tollywood. In just a year and a half, he has impressed audiences with multiple interesting films. He always wanted to do sleek action drama, and director Sujeeth came forward for it, under DVV Danayya’s production.
Interestingly, even before there is progress with the film, the speculation is on the rise that the project is going to find a new home. The makers say that the film will be shifted from DVV Entertainments to a new production house.
After Hit-3, Nani was supposed to work with Sujeeth, but the director is currently tied up with OG, which depends on Pawan Kalyan’s schedule. Since Pawan has yet to complete Harihara Veeramallu, OG will take more time, delaying Sujeeth’s availability. Meanwhile, Nani is moving ahead with The Paradise.
The latest update is that DVV Entertainments, which was initially set to produce the Nani-Sujeeth film, has backed out for unknown reasons. However, this does not mean the project is shelved. Venkat Bollineni, who produced Shyam Singa Roy with Nani, has stepped in to take over the production.
Venkat shares a strong bond with Nani, often expressing his admiration for him on birthdays and through media advertisements. After facing a setback with Saindhav, Venkat is now looking to bounce back with this collaboration, hoping to recreate the success of Shyam Singa Roy.
This seems to be a wrong decision by Danayya at the wrong time. There is no harm in waiting a little longer, considering the prior commitments of both Nani and Sujeeth. And once OG becomes a big hit, if he does a film immediately with Sujeeth, it will generate a big buzz for the film. Danayya can cash the craze properly.
In all cases, Pawan Kalyan’s film with Sujeeth will surely bring more attention to DVV and it can be transferred easily to the Nani-Sujeeth project.
