Hyderabad: Telangana Film Development Corporation has invited entries for Gaddar Film Awards to Tollywood films and film personalities from this year.
The Gaddar awards are likely to be presented on the occasion of Ugadi. The awards will be presented in various categories of feature films, national integration, children’s film, and on environment/heritage/history, debut feature film, animated film, social impact, documentary, and short films. The other categories include books and analytical essays on Telugu cinema and individual awards for artists and technicians.
The govt also decided to introduce special awards in honour of legendary figures Paidi Jayaraj and Kanta Rao, who made significant contributions to Telangana cinema.
Applications for the Gaddar Film Awards would be available from March 13, 2025, at the Telangana Film Development Corporation office located in AC Guards, Hyderabad.
