HYDERABAD: A police officer died in a lift mishap in an apartment in Rajanna Sircilla district on Monday night.
The officer, Gangaram, who was in charge commandant of the 17th police battalion, went to visit his batchmate DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy at his flat in an apartment complex near the new bus stand in Sircilla town.
Gangaram, who opened the grill door of the faulty lift even before it arrived, fell from the third floor and died.
Gangaram also served as security in charge at the state secretariat in Hyderabad previously.
