According to Khaleej Times, “The Five Pillars of Islam are Shahada: The declaration of belief in one true God; Salah: Five-time daily prayer, facing Makkah, including ablution before prayer; Zakat: Charity or giving to the poor; Hajj: Pilgrimage to Makkah at least once in their lifetime; and Sawm: Fasting during Ramadan.”
Sehri or Suhoor is the meal consumed before the beginning of the fast at dawn, while the meal after sunset is called Iftar.
