Powering up its flagship project of establishing a new growth region around the Regional Ring Road, the Telangana government issued two important orders on Wednesday, one constituting a special area development authority titled Future City Development Authority (FCDA) and the second, expanding the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region, which comes under the purview of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority up to Regional Ring Road.
Both the orders speak of exclusion of 36 villages from the purview of HMDA and inclusion of the same into the FCDA. In effect, the FCDA will have in its jurisdiction over 765.28 square kilometres encompassing 56 revenue villages from seven mandals of Ranga Reddy district.
HMDA’s purview, in turn, has been expanded to cover 10,472.723 square kilometres, comprising 1355 revenue villages, from 104 mandals of 11 districts.
The villages that form FCDA include Konapur and Ramanuthala from Amangal mandal; Kappapahad, Pocharam, Ramreddyguda, Tulekhan, Turkaguda, Yeliminedu, Yerrakunta, and Tadlakalva from Ibrahimpatanam mandal; Cherikondapatti Kalwakurthy, Cherikondapatti Padkal, Ekrajguda, Karkalpahad, and Mudwin from Kadthal mandal; Dasarlapalli, Annojiguda, Debbadaguda, Gudur, Gummadavalle, Kandukur, Kothur, Gafoornagar, Lemoor, Madhapur, Meerkhanpet, Mohammadnagar, Mucherla, Panjaguda, Rachloor, Sarvaravulapalle, Thimmaipalle, and Timmapur from Kandukur mandal; Mohabbatnagar and Thummaloor from Maheshwaram mandal; Agapally, Nomula, and Mallikarjunaguda from Manchal mandal; and Chowderpalle, Gungal, Kothapalle, Kurmidda, Medpalle,Malkizguda, Mogullavampu, Nakkarta, Nanaknagar, Nandiwanaparthy, Nazdik Singaram, Thakkellapally, Thatiparthy, Tulekhurd, Yacharam, Chintapatla, and Nallavelly in Yacharam mandal.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Region includes, apart from areas constituting the city of Hyderabad, 19 villages from Mahabubnagar, 101 villages from Medak, 163 villages from Medchal-Malkajgiri, three villages from Nagarkurnool, 31 villages from Nalgonda, 533 villages from Ranga Reddy, 151 villages from Sangareddy, 74 villages from Siddipet, 54 villages from Vikarabad, and 162 villages from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
The Regional Ring Road will pass through eight districts, the northern part of which starts from Kondapur of Sangareddy district towards Mumbai on NH-65 and ends at Choutuppal of Yadadri Bhuavanagiri district, the orders said. On the Southern side, the RRR has been extended to include the Future City.
In view of the future development around it, two km buffer area outside the RRR has been included into the HMDA’s purview, which may later be designated RRR Growth Corridor, the orders said.
