Hyderabad: An unidentified man attacked a temple accountant with a chemical powder in Hyderabad on Friday evening. The incident took place at the Bhulakshmi Mata Temple in the Saidabad area around 8:30 PM.
CCTV footage of the attack has surfaced online. The video captures the assailant throwing chemical powder on the temple accountant while he was working. The attacker then quickly fled the scene.
Reports state that the accused entered the temple, inquiring about the accountant, Narsing Rao.
Shocked by the attack, the victim was seen calling for help as devotees and temple staff rushed to assist him. He was immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment.
The Saidabad police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials are analyzing the CCTV footage to identify the attacker and determine the motive behind the assault.
According to the police, “Yesterday, an unknown person visited the Bhulakshmi Temple and engaged in a conversation with the temple accountant, Narsing Rao, about the cost of Anna Prasad. During the conversation, he suddenly poured a chemical on Narsing Rao’s head, causing minor injuries. We have registered a case and are searching for the unidentified suspect.”
The victim has sustained minor injuries and is currently undergoing medical treatment. Meanwhile, the police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the attacker.
Authorities suspect that the attack may have been motivated by personal enmity or financial disputes.
