Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy said that reports pertaining to the death of Telugu film producer Kedar Selagamsetty in Dubai would be placed on the floor of the House soon.
“It is obvious why the mortal remains were cremated in Dubai instead of being brought to India. The reports that we will get from Dubai will help us understand it,” Revanth said in the assembly on Saturday.
The CM wondered why no leader of the BRS had demanded an enquiry into the mysterious death of 42-year-old Kedar.
He questioned why former minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao chose to be silent about it and did not demand a probe.
Kedar died in his sleep in an apartment during a visit to Dubai on Feb 26. The authorities reportedly told the family that he had died of a heart attack. The family chose to perform the last rites in Dubai itself.
Kedar was arrested in Hyderabad in a drugs-related case in 2024 and was later released on bail.
