Across Nellore Rural Assembly segment, 303 development projects are in various stages of progress. This is including the 27 new projects in Nellore city’s first division, for which MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy laid the foundation stone on Sunday (March 16).
The first division alone has received ₹3.5 crore in funds from the government over the past nine months. A week back, the MLA launched 105 development projects in a single day across his constituency, earning him applause from TDP general secretary and Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh.
In a post on ‘X’, Mr. Lokesh had advised fellow legislators to draw inspiration from Mr. Sridhar Reddy.
To involve the public in development, the legislator got the local women to perform a traditional Bhumi Puja and make the locals break coconuts, signalling the launch of the project.
Mr. Sridhar Reddy told The Hindu that he has also fixed a deadline of sixty days to complete the works, after which they will be formally dedicated to the public by 609 party leaders and activists, representing the TDP, BJP and the JSP.
