Vijayawada: Transport minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy said that the students appearing for class X public examinations will be allowed to travel free of cost to their examination centres in APSRTC buses from March 17 to April 1. In a statement issued on Sunday, the transport minister said a total of 5,64,064 students from English medium and another 51,069 students from Telugu medium will be appearing for the class X examinations, scheduled to commence on Monday across the state. He further stated that APSRTC will provide free transportation for students to their examination centres upon presenting their examination hall tickets to the bus conductors.
