6:50am was a bit too early for breakfast so we drove on to Lepakshi and stopped at Samara on the way back around 9:30 am.

I recently drove to Lepakshi, starting around 5:30am.
There are a few options now for food beyond chikballapura (earlier it was mostly Nandi Upachar and others around Devanahalli and then Big Bay food court at Chikballapura).
When nearing Bagepalli, we saw Komals Grand on the left, then V V Srini on the right and then Samara Veg on the right just before the Bagepalli toll. 6:50am was a bit too early for breakfast so we drove on to Lepakshi and stopped at Samara on the way back around 9:30. Nice ambience and food, enough parking and a good shop selling handicrafts and homemade food products, makes for a good stop.
* Komal’s grand and V V Srini were deserted even on our way back, probably because it was a weekday?
