Telangana High Court division bench asks Govt to move single judge court against Lagacherla land acquisition order-Telangana Today


The bench headed by the Acting Chief Justics Sujoy Pal and Justice Renuka Yara asked the Advocate General to move the court of single Judge which issued the interim order with a counter.

Hyderabad: A division bench of the Telangana High Court has on Monday modified the single judge order staying the land acquisition in Lagacherla and Hakimpet villages, as mantaining status quo.

The bench headed by the Acting Chief Justics Sujoy Pal and Justice Renuka Yara asked the Advocate General to move the court of single Judge which issued the interim order with a counter.


The single Judge court had stayed the acquisition of land in Lagacherla and Hakimpet for the purpose of setting up an industrial park.

The Acting CJ wondered what was the maintainability of questioning an interim order by way of a writ appeal and suggestedto the Advocate General to approach the single judge and file a counter against the stay order.

Further the stay on notification was modified as maintaining status quo, which will exist untill the vacate application is decided by the single judge.
