Mahindra & Mahindra has been testing the XUV 3XO EV for a while now, and its market launch is likely to happen in the coming months. This compact electric SUV is likely to use a 35kWh battery pack, which will be a smaller version of the XUV400 EV’s 40kWh battery. The spy images reveal that the Mahindra XUV 3xo Ev will receive a few EV-specific elements inside and out. On the exterior, it will feature a new grille with a larger central air intake and badging and new alloys.

Maruti Fronx

Maruti Fronx Facelift

The Maruti Fronx is currently the top-selling car in the country. The Indo-Japanese automaker is ready to foray into the EV segment with the e Vitara, which will be followed by mass-market EVs including the electric Fronx. The Maruti Fronx EV will go head-to-head against the Tata Punch EV that’s currently dominates the EV segment. While its powertrain details are not available at the moment, it’s likely to come with a smaller battery pack than the e Vitara. The latter will come with two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh.

Hyundai Venue

In January 2025, Hyundai Motor India rolled out its mass-market electric offering – the Creta Electric. The South Korean automaker also confirmed three new Made-in-India electric models for the Indian market. However, the company hasn’t yet revealed the name and details of these upcoming electric compact SUVs. The range is likely to include the Hyundai Inster EV-based electric SUV and electric versions of the Grand i10 Nios and Venue. The specific details about the Hyundai Venue EV’s battery capacity and range are yet to be revealed.
