Mohanlal’s most anticipated sequel to Lucifer, titled L2 Empuraan and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 27th.
L2 Empuraan was made with a budget of almost 400 crores and has huge expectations among Malayalam audiences, as Part 1, Lucifer, was a blockbuster success and collected around 150 crores in its theatrical run.

Even though Vijay’s Leo is a Tamil movie, it holds the record for the highest-grossing movie on Day 1 in Kerala by collecting around 12 crores on its opening day.
Trade experts are predicting that L2 Empuraan has huge potential to break Vijay’s Leo record in Kerala and can sum up a huge amount on its Day 1. If L2 Empuraan doesn’t break Leo’s record, no Malayalam movie is likely to break this record anytime soon.

Still, the pre-bookings for L2 Empuraan have not yet opened. Once the pre-bookings start and gain momentum, we can almost predict whether it will shatter Leo’s record.
However, it remains to be seen whether L2 Empuraan satisfies the expectations of audiences and emerges as a blockbuster success on March 27th.
