In October 2024, Samsung started rolling out Tizen OS 8.0-based One UI to its TVs. A month after that, the brand started releasing it to smart monitors. Now, the update is reaching one of the South Korean tech giant’s flagship gaming monitors, the Odyssey G9.
On Reddit, a person reports that their Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor is getting the One UI update. They also posted an image showing the update getting installed and how the monitor’s home screen looks after installing it. You can check out the images below.

What features does One UI offer on Odyssey G9?
From what we can see, One UI for Samsung Odyssey G9 offers the same upgraded user interface that it offers on TVs and other smart monitors. That includes new icons and redesigned UI elements that Samsung carried over from One UI for smartphones.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a complete change log yet. That being said, we expect One UI to offer the same changes on Odyssey G9 that it does on TVs and other smart monitors, including a revamped Settings menu that is cleaner, more compact, and easier to figure out.
Sadly, Samsung hasn’t provided a list of monitors to which it is going to offer One UI. That being said, we expect the South Korean tech giant to offer it to models from 2023, as that’s the case with Samsung TVs. We hope to get more details soon.
