SSC examinations were conducted smoothly under the supervision of senior officials in Anantapur, Chittoor and Kurnool districts on Wednesday.
Anantapur district Collector Vinod Kumar V. on Wednesday visited the examination centre in Sri Chaitanya English Medium School and supervised the arrangements. On the occasion, he said that of the 135 exam centres in the district, 30,537 students attended it while 325 were absent.
The Collector said that 135 chief superintendents, 30 sitting squads, seven flying squads and 1,403 invigilators monitored the examination and the supervising officials conducted visits at 53 examination centres across the district on Wednesday. He directed the officials to make available water and ORS packets in view of the summer season.
Kurnool district Collector P. Ranjith Basha inspected a couple of examination centres in the city and inspected the arrangements there. He said that 208 students taking SSC regular examination and 11 students writing the exams in private were absent on Wednesday.
Chittoor in-charge Collector G. Vidyadhari inspected the examination centre at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) at Kanipakam in Irala mandal. She instructed the officials to keep medical staff on alert and provide water and ORS packets at the exam centres.
