It is known to our readers that YSR Congress has boycotted the Assembly Proceedings in protest to Jagan not getting the Opposition Leader Status.
Article 190(4) of the Constitution of India states that a member of a state’s legislature can be declared absent if they are absent from all meetings for a period of 60 days without permission.

CM Chandrababu Naidu brought to the notice of the house how some MLAs are signing the register and not coming to the house.
“On 24th, YSR Congress’ eleven members signed. On the 25th, five members of that party signed. On March 18th, one MLA signed and on 19th March, four MLAs signed. But they did not sign. Did you not allow them?,” Chandrababu Naidu asked.
Speaker Ayyannapathrudu flagged how except Jagan all the YSR Congress MLAs are drawing salaries despite not coming to the house.
“I will check the Rule Book and will consult experts. We will refer them to the Ethics Committee if possible,” the Speaker announced.
In a way, Jagan had made his MLAs as thieves.
The MLAs who won elections by the mandate of the people were now signing the register secretly without getting seen by anyone.
YSR Congress MLAs – Balanagi Reddy, Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar, Matsyalingam, Virupaksha, Visveswara Raju, Akepati Amarnath Reddy, and Dasari Sudha are the seven members who signed the register without coming to the house.
It is a shame that MLAs have come to this level and thanks to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
