The Legislators’ Sports Meet, being organised by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation(IGMC) stadium, continued on the second day on Wednesday, with an enthusiastic participation from MLAs and MLCs.
The elected representatives displayed their talent in games including cricket, kabaddi, shotput, 100-metre race, tennis, table tennis, throwball and badminton. In the game of cricket, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar’s team won by 34 runs against Health Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav’s team.
The volleyball game was won by A.P. Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu’s team against Chief Minister’s team comprising Sports Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy and others and Kabaddi was won by the Chief Minister’s team.
In badminton, Minister T.G. Bharath and MLA P. Sindhura Reddy won in Singles, Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav and MLA B.V. Jayanageswara Reddy won in doubles (men) and MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy and MLA P. Sindhura Reddy won in doubles (women).
