Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against a Non-Resident Indian for allegedly pressurising a woman to marry him and threatening to expose her by telling everyone that she had earlier worked as a dancer in Dubai and also publicise their private photos.

The 38-year-old married woman staying in Jubilee Hills had gone to Dubai six years ago, where she worked as a dancer in a pub for two years. At that time, the suspect – Naushad Abubakar met her and both became friends.

As per available information, after returning to India after two years, Naushad started harassing the woman on the phone and blackmailing her by saying that he would send her photos with him to her husband. The worried married woman went to Dubai once and met him. She insisted that he deleted her photos and videos and got them deleted.

Meanwhile, Abubakar, who had recently arrived in India, called the woman and started pressuring her to leave her husband and children and come with him, so that they could get married.

He started blackmailing her, saying that if she did not listen to him, he would post her intimate photos on social media. The victim filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police on Thursday. A case has been registered and is being investigated.
