Hyderabad: Rachakonda police have arrested around 30 people for selling IPL tickets for Sunday’s Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals match on the black market in the city.
Acting on a tip-off and surprise checks near the RGI airport, the Rachakonda police caught these persons with the tickets. The police seized around 60 tickets from their possession. According to the police, these people were selling the tickets at up to three times the ticket price.
Police said that these people bought tickets from official platforms and sold them for exorbitant money to make quick money. The police are also investigating whether they are linked to bigger gangs involved in this black ticketing activity.
