Mallepally Laxmaiah, International President of the Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO), urged for better facilities for Buddhist tourists from India and greater public awareness of the Happiness Index in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and beyond. He made this plea during a meeting with India’s Ambassador to Bhutan Sudhakar Dalaila on Saturday (March 22).
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the International Happiness Day conference in Thimphu, which was attended by an Indian delegation. Ambassador Dalaila highlighted Bhutan’s initiatives to enhance citizens’ happiness and acknowledged India’s significant role in the country’s development.
Prominent figures, including former UGC Chairman S.K. Thorat, former Telangana Higher Education Council Chairman R. Limbadri, Dr. Kanakaraju, Korivi Vinay Kumar, Advocate Dharmarjun, Edla Sanjeev and others attended the meeting.
