Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday said that the Congress had come to power by inciting hatred against BRS and there was an urgent need to bring the pink party back to power to bring the state back on the path of development.
Addressing a party meeting in Karimnagar, KTR said: “One vote can damage lives for five years, we can only wait for three more years to bring the state back on track by winning elections.”
Claiming that the loan waiver is incomplete, crop losses are being ignored and agriculture is in crisis, KTR said the Congress leaders are busy filling their pockets and sending money to their bosses in Delhi and the people are not getting their promised schemes.
The BRS working president said that both Congress and BJP were working against the interests of Telangana. He alleged that while Rahul Gandhi’s promises have turned out to be false, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s govt has not brought any tangible benefits to the state.
The former minister attributed the success of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, which has become essential for agriculture, to the leadership of BRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao. KTR also mentioned KCR’s efforts in modernising the Manair River and establishing numerous Gurukul schools across Telangana. Announcing that BRS would launch a massive membership drive after the April 27 public meet, KTR stressed that only committed leaders who put the welfare of the people first would be given party nominations. He urged activists to strive for a decisive victory in Karimnagar in upcoming polls, highlighting the district’s pivotal role in political history of state.
