The Hyderabad traffic police have issued a traffic advisory from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to ensure smooth traffic movement along the procession route of the death anniversary of Hazrat Ali being observed on Friday (March 21), the 20th day of Ramadan. The restrictions apply to all vehicular traffic, including TSRTC, APSRTC, and private buses.

The procession will commence from inside the Charminar monument and will pass through key areas of the Old City — Charkaman, Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Madina, Tipu Khana Masjid (right turn), Chatta Bazar, Lakkad Kote (left turn), Salama School Purani Haveli (right turn), APAT X roads (left turn), Darushifa Grounds, S.J Rotary, Abid Ali Khan Eye Hospital — and will conclude at the Masjid E Imamia near Kali Kabar.

From 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. traffic restrictions will be implemented within the Charminar traffic limits. At Irani Galli, traffic from Etabar chowk will be diverted towards Kotla Alijah/Hafiz Danka Masjid. At Mitti Ka Sher/Gulzar Houz, traffic from Ghansi bazaar and Mitti Ke Sher will be diverted towards High Court Road. At Nayapul, traffic will be stopped until the procession moves past Chatta bazaar.

From 4.30 p.m. to 7 p.m., restrictions will be in effect within the Mirchowk traffic limits. When the procession reaches Tipu Khana mosque/Chatta bazaar turning, traffic will not be allowed towards Chatta bazaar until it reaches APAT junction. Traffic from Purani Haveli will be diverted towards APAT and Mandi Mir Alam. At Chaderghat Rotary, traffic from Chaderghat will be diverted towards Chaderghat junction. At Salar Jung bridge, traffic from Afzalgunj/CBS will be diverted to CBS/Afzalgunj.
