TIRUPATI: Nellore rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy went on an inspection of development works in the constituency on a scooter.
Kotamreddy launched a record number of 303 development works at a single go at the Nellore rural assembly constituency recently.
While the state govt had allocated a sum of Rs.40 cr for the completion of these 303 development works, the MLA had set May 20 as the deadline for the completion of works in a time bound manner without scope for any kind of delays.
And with an intention to assess the progress of the ongoing development works across the constituency instead of purely relying on official administration inputs, the Nellore rural legislator left behind his gunmen and security and his convoy behind and went for the inspection of the works in the wards on a scooter like a common man.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his inspection, Sridhar Reddy stated that the development works were progressing at a brisk pace and exuded confidence that all the 303 works will be completed within the May 20 deadline.
“Andhra Pradesh govt led by CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has allocated a sum of Rs.200 cr for the comprehensive development of the Nellore rural assembly constituency alone.
Apart from the 303 works, a flyover near the city outskirts has been envisaged and funds to the tune of Rs.75 cr has been earmarked to initiate the flyover works in the Nellore rural assembly constituency”, Kotamreddy added.
