A victim who is a native of Bangladesh and illegally crossed over into India was rescued

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (central) team busted a prostitution racket operated by West Bengal natives in the city and caught two organisers. A victim who is a native of Bangladesh and illegally crossed over into India was rescued.
According to the police, Kartik Das (29), a resident of Charminar and native of West Bengal along with his accomplice Samir Maity (35), a gold smith residing at Ghansi Bazaar and native of West Bengal, was organising prostitution in the city. Kartik Das, called the victim who is now staying in Delhi to a hotel in the city and after accommodating her there organising prostitution in the hotel.
“Das collected Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 from the customers for arranging the service,” said Khaleel Pasha, Inspector Task Force.
The victim crossed over into India illegally two years ago after being offered a job of housemaid. “After reaching West Bengal, she managed to obtain an Aaadhar Card and since staying in India. A few agents lured the victim into prostitution,” said the Inspector.
