Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cyber Crime police arrested a mule account supplier, Himanshu Swami, 28, an accountant from Haryana, involved in investment and trading fraud cases reported across the country. Swami was involved in 43 cases across India and six cases in Telangana.
He was arrested in a case of cheating a civil engineer for 20.01 lakh, where fraudsters contacted the victim through WhatsApp and lured him into investing with them. The victims transferred amounts accordingly to the accounts supplied to the cybercriminals by Swami, an official said. He also has cases against him at Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates. TNN
