Vijayawada: Chief secretary K Vijayanand asked the district collectors to concentrate on roof-top solar generation in their respective districts to make Andhra Pradesh a hub for green energy. He said that govt has set a target of setting up 10,000 roof-top solar power generation units in each assembly constituency under the PM Surya Ghar scheme. He asked the collectors to take appropriate steps to achieve the target.
Speaking at the collectors conference here on Tuesday, Vijayanand asked the collectors that they should strive to achieve better results by adopting various best practices.
The chief secretray said that govt decided to organise the two-day session to provide appropriate direction to achieve the specified goals. He said that the collectors should implement the welfare schemes in a transparent manner to make every eligible person receive the benefit. “We need to work to achieve the 15 percent growth rate to realise the dream of Swarna Andhra Pradesh 2047,” said Vijayanand.
He added that govt had already appointed senior officials including special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretary as the district in-charge to monitor various schemes and programmes. He also asserted that WhatsApp governance, grievance redressal policy, land-related issues, and the summer action plan were on the top of state govt’s agenda.
Chief commissioner land administration G Jayalakshmi said that they have planned the district collectors’ conference in line with the goals of Mission Andhra@2025.
