New Nissan MPV Launching In 2025 – First Look & Details

The upcoming Nissan MPV, based on the Renault Triber, is set to hit roads during this year’s Diwali season. Aiming to create buzz around the product, the French automaker has released the first set of teasers revealing the front fascia. Upfront, this compact MPV features Nissan’s signature grille and a sporty bumper with silver wraparound treatment. While the projector headlamps look similar to those of the Tiber, the differently designed LED DRLs distinguish the two models.

The teaser images further confirm the presence of functional roof rails and newly-designed alloy wheels. The new Nissan compact MPV will share its platform with the Triber. Dimensionally, it is expected to be identical to the Renault Triber, which measures 3,990mm in length, 1,739mm in width and 1,643mm in height.

Interior details are not available at the moment. However, the new Nissan small MPV is expected to come with different seat upholstery and material quality than its donor sibling. Features such as the centre console, touchscreen infotainment system, gear lever and steering wheel could be borrowed from the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV. It will be a 7-seater MPV, featuring a modular third-row.

Under the hood, the new Nissan MPV is most likely to house a 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor, borrowed from the Triber, delivers a maximum power of 72bhp and 96Nm of torque. Both manual (5-speed) and AMT (5-speed) gearboxes will be on offer.

New Nissan Midsize SUV Launch Confirmed!

The Japanese automaker has also confirmed that its upcoming new midsize SUV will go on sale in India in FY2026. It will be followed by a new 7-seater SUV. The new Nissan SUV will essentially be rebadged version of the third-generation Renault Duster, but will feature an all-new design language. However, both SUVs will share the platform, powertrains, interior and features.

More details on the upcoming new Nissan MPV and SUV are likely to be revealed in the near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
