It has been common for theatre owners to increase ticket prices when big films are released, and the same thing is happening with Sikandar after its advance booking started through different platforms on March 25, 2025.
The popular G7 multiplex in Mumbai has finalized a price of Rs. 180 for stalls, despite having a reputation of offering tickets at the cheapest price for the general public. However, the ticket price of another theatre in Mumbai, Plaza, has grabbed a lot of attention on social media.

While the usual prices at Plaza have been Rs. 350, Rs. 400, and Rs. 450 for the sofa class, box sofa, and recliners, respectively, the prices have now been increased to Rs. 600, Rs. 650, and Rs. 700.
Trade analysts have also expressed their concern, with Taran Adarsh saying that the ticket prices should be affordable for everyone. Distributor and exhibitor Raj Bansal also said that high prices might impact the box office collections by around 10-15%.

The owner of Bihar-based Roopbani Cinema, Vishek Chauhan, said that ticket prices should not be increased in such a manner, adding that the mass audiences contribute to the operation of theatres, and so it is important that the overpricing should not happen again in the future.
Salman Khan has always preferred to entertain the audience, irrespective of the film’s content, and it is necessary that, in such a condition, the producers should have opted to keep the prices as low as possible.

The high prices could be one of the reasons why there has been low occupancy so far, despite the film releasing on Sunday. Audiences hardly prefer to buy tickets of Rs. 200 nowadays, and considering that Sikandar is an action-drama, low ticket prices could have pulled a huge number of people to the big screen.
In this condition, it remains to be seen if Sikandar can somehow break the records by the end of its theatrical run.
