Hyderabad: The District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), Hanamkonda served notices to Rohini Medicare Private Limited, a multispecialty hospital, regarding its alleged involvement in fake bills related to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). The DM&HO, who also serves as District Registering Authority of all private hospitals under the Clinical Establishment Act, issued the order.
In the order, the DM&HO said “Regarding CMRF bills, an enquiry conducted by officers of CID and found indulging in fraudulent for providing fake bills to CMRF by Rohini Medicare Pvt Ltd, Subedari, Hanamkonda and registered criminal case against the hospital. In this regard, Director of Public Health Medical and Family Welfare, TG, has directed to take necessary action on the aforementioned hospital, i.e. cancellations of registration and imposing a penalty to the hospital and instructed to submit the report immediately (sic)”.
The notice added “In this connection, why action should not be taken against the hospital with cancellation of registration and imposing of penalty as it was proved that management was indulged in false/suspicious providing the CMRF bills instructed to submit explanation within (2) days, If failure in submitting the explanation, action will be viewed seriously as per Telangana Clinical Establishment (Registration and Regulation) Act 2010, Rules, 2022 (sic)”.
Confirming about the notices, the Director of Public Health, Medical and Family Welfare, Telangana State, Dr Ravinder Nayak said “We received orders from the State government to take strict action on hospitals that are indulging in fraud with relation to CM Relief Fund. We recently issued orders to all our DM&HOs to take strict action on such hospitals”.
