Bollywood star Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his high budget action entertainer, Sikandar. The film is hitting the big screens on March 30th. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles, Sikandar is directed by star Kollywood filmmaker AR Murugadoss.
As part of Sikandar’s promotions, Salman interacted with the Bollywood media in Mumbai last night. As per bollywood media (PTI), As expected, Salman was asked about the update on his much-talked-about actioner with Atlee, the Tamil director who made the blockbuster ‘Jawan’ with Shah Rukh Khan.
Salman revealed that Atlee has written a “very big budget action film” and that project has been delayed due to budget issues. The Bhai went on to reveal one of the senior stars (Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan) will be part of the project whenever it goes on floors. Salman then surprised everyone by announcing that he will be teaming up with his “elder brother” Sanjay Dutt for a massive action film after Sikandar. “The action in that movie will be on another level. That’s rustic action,” he added.
Salman also said it’s difficult to make a pan-India movie with stars from Bollywood and the south.
Soon after the speculations about the Salman Khan-Atlee film being put on hold due to budget issues went viral, rumours were rife that Atlee would be replacing Salman Khan with Tollywood star Allu Arjun. The rumours further said that Atlee was keen on casting Amaran star Sivakarthikeyan for the role originally designed for Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan. Well, clarity on this crazy project will emerge in a few days.
