Uppal resident charged with stalking flight crew member at Hyderabad hotel

Hyderabad: SR Nagar police have registered a stalking case against a youngster, a resident of Uppal, for allegedly stalking a flight crew member of a commercial airline at a hotel in Greenlands. The incident occurred on March 25 night, after which the woman reported the matter to the hotel staff, who lodged a complaint with the SR Nagar police station on March 26. A case of stalking (78 of the BNS) was registered against the suspect, and a hunt is on to nab him, a police officer said.
According to police, the victim, a married woman, was in the hotel for a brief stay. On March 25 night, she was returning to her room after having dinner at the hotel restaurant. Meanwhile, the suspect, who was at the restaurant for dinner, followed her. He entered the same elevator and later went to her room.
Though she rushed into her room and locked it from inside, he loitered outside the room for some time before ringing the bell. However, as there was no response, he left the place. The woman immediately alerted the hotel security, but by the time they verified the footage and identified the suspect, he had left the hotel.
