A local court in Hyderabad has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and his mother to seven years of rigorous imprisonment for causing the death of his wife in 2017.
The third Additional District Judge’s court in LB Nagar found K Anand Kumar, 27, and his mother, K Barathamma, 48, guilty in the dowry death case. The court ruled that their continued harassment and physical abuse of Kumar’s wife, Ramya, over additional dowry led to her death in March 2017.
Chaitanyapuri police had registered an FIR and arrested both accused.
