90-year-old woman undergoes successful kidney stone surgery at RIMS-Adilabad

A 90-year-old woman from Jainath of Adilabad has successfully undergone a kidney stone removal surgery at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS-Adilabad). The patient, Ankath Pintubayi, had been admitted to the hospital after she experienced severe abdominal pain.

Upon diagnosis, doctors identified kidney stones as the cause of her discomfort. The medical team at RIMS performed Retrograde Intrarenal Laser Surgery, a minimally invasive procedure using laser technology, to remove the stones without causing damage to the kidneys. The successful operation has brought the elderly patient significant relief, and she is currently recovering well, according to hospital officials.

Minister for Health C. Damodar Rajanarasimha lauded the medical team for their expertise and dedication in treating the patient. He reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services in public hospitals and urged citizens to place their trust in the capabilities of government medical professionals.
