Popular filmmaker Puri Jagannadh and Tamil versatile star Vijay Sethupathi are teaming up for an exciting new project. Puri Jagannadh will direct the film, with Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, marking a fresh and unexpected collaboration.
This project comes at a crucial time for both artists—Puri Jagannadh, after the setbacks of Liger and Double iSmart, and Vijay Sethupathi, who has expanded his market significantly following the success of “Maharaja.”
Interestingly, despite speculation of a professional split, Puri Jagannadh will co-produce the film alongside Charmme Kaur under their banner, Puri Connects. The official announcement was made today, coinciding with the Ugadi festival.
“What makes this project even more thrilling is that Puri Jagannadh has crafted a distinctive script, presenting Vijay Sethupathi in a never-seen-before role,” a press statement revealed.
The film’s regular shoot is set to begin in June and will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
