The sweltering heat wave continued to grip Telangana as all 33 districts recorded temperatures at or above 40°C on Sunday. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Ibrahimpatnam in Jagtial district reported the highest maximum temperature at 41.5°C.

SEVERAL OTHER REGIONS FOLLOWED CLOosely, with Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Palwancha in Kamareddy, Manakondur in Karimnagar, Bheemaram and Naspurial in Mancherial 41.4 ° C. Additionally, Sirikonda in Adilabad, Dharur in Jogulamba Gadwal, Kerameri in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and Amarachintha in Wanaparthy Recorded 41.3 ° C.

In Hyderabad, Bahadurpura recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2°C, while neighbouring Keesara in Medchal Malkajgiri saw 40.3°C. Abdullapurmet in Rangareddy reported 40.6°C. Jangaon registered the lowest maximum temperature in the State at 40°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest bulletin on Sunday, forecast no major changes in maximum temperatures for the next two days. However, a gradual drop of 2°C to 3°C is expected over the following three days.

For Hyderabad and its surroundings, the IMD predicted partly cloudy skies over the next 48 hours, with hazy conditions likely during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 39°C and 25°C respectively.
