Hyderabad: The Film Nagar police on Sunday arrested a 19-year-old for allegedly stealing a bike. The arrested was identified as Md Riyaz. According to police officials, on Tuesday, Riyaz stole a bike which was parked outside a home in Shaikpet. An analysis of CCTV footage near the spot and the surrounding areas showed an unidentified person moving on the bike.
Based on the clues and technical leads, police identified the accused as Riyaz, a resident of the same locality. He was caught, and on inquiry, he revealed that he gifted the stolen bike to his friend, said a Film Nagar police official. The stolen bike was recovered. Riyaz’s friend, aged 17, was also apprehended and sent to a juvenile home.
