Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmamsani Chandra Sekhar highlighted the significance of fasting and discipline observed during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking at the Eid prayers held on Ramesh Hospital and Andhra Muslim College premises in Guntur on Monday, he said that the Ramadan fast offers an opportunity to understand the struggles of the underprivileged and instils values of patience, self-control, and selflessness.
Dr. Pemmamsani joined the Muslims in the Eidgah prayers, marking the culmination of the sacred fasting period. After the prayers, religious leaders offered special blessings to him. Addressing the gathering, he extended his heartfelt wishes to the Muslim brothers and sisters who had successfully completed their rigorous fasting and were celebrating Eid with devotion and joy.
“The holy month of Ramadan teaches us how to keep negative traits such as anger, arrogance, and selfishness at bay. It is a time of reflection, discipline, and compassion, which can inspire individuals to lead more meaningful and harmonious lives,” Dr. Pemmamsani said.
